About Us
Our Texas History
Texas is one of the largest states in the US, with a population of over 29 million people. Unfortunately, like many other states, Texas is also home to many people who struggle with hunger and food insecurity. According to Feeding America, an estimated 1 in 7 people in Texas face hunger, including 1 in 5 children.
To combat this issue, there are many food charities and non-profit organizations operating throughout Texas that work to provide nutritious food to those in need. A Golden Opportunity Food Program is one of them.
